Entwined in Spirit
5x7 Oil on Panel
This feels like one of my successes. It is what motivates me to keep trying for one painting a day. If I can keep it up I expect to have exciting results this time next year. Have you ever heard of what a difference a year makes!? Also I have an affinity for the number three. I have two amazing sisters.. and I find significance in the combination of things in threes. Since we have been young adults, I have never been more grateful for the gift of my sisters.. I love the delicate way the roots entwine moving in and out and through each other. --So explains my title..enjoy!

Tuscan Country Road
Tuscan Country Road
8x16 Oil on Panel
This is from a photo of one of our bike rides through the Tuscan countryside. This was truly one of the most beautiful routes.. so tranquil and stunning. Always better in person!
As far as a landscape piece, I am sure I will keep working this one. It is intriguing to look at but feels awkward to me in spots.
I will get feedback and then see what I can do.

This was a study over a few days.. thus my pom lost its deliscious glow. But it was a fun one to do.

Three Pairs
Three Pairs
6x6 Oil on Canvas
These pears are miniature and all variations of red, green and purple. They are exotic looking, small and rich with color. I was able to do this pretty quickly. That is my goal currently.. to paint quickly and keep a fresh look to the color and brushwork.

After the storm of 2012 in Colorado.. it was time to get out and do some snowshoeing to enjoy those 16". What a spectacular vision of white! ...yet not white at all.

Head to Head
6x6 Oil on Panel
I have a thing for twos. I just realized this is another duo study. But.. it is that, just a study. It is always good to see these in this context. It helps me see more the areas I can improve upon. This is a 6x6 Oil on board. It is up for auction on Daily Paintworks..

6x12 on Canvas sheet
Once again named by Pat, THE official namer in our family. Everything has a name, car, RV, vespas, bikes... and they all fit so well! This is a small sculpture we have had for a few years. I love the whimsical fantasy it has. The tall building is mysterious and the small birds are lighthearted enjoying their view of the land. A fun piece to look at.
